Filmed on a Japanese island, I integrated AR elements into the real-world environment.
Creation
I imported the footage into After Effects, used 3D camera tracking, and added content such as sketches and Apple symbols. 3D models, like drones, were created in Blender 3D and integrated into After Effects.
3D Element Integration
After creating the 3D objects in Blender using hard surface modeling, I exported rendered images from Blender and imported them into After Effects. It was fascinating to bring the 3D data from After Effects into Blender, align perspectives, and position the models in the scene. This workflow allowed me to seamlessly integrate the objects into the AR environment, adding depth and realism.
Challenges
One issue was the frame rate. I learned that maintaining a consistent frame rate from the beginning is crucial to avoid errors.
This project was an insightful experience, especially in hard surface modeling in Blender.
