Creation of 2019_Japan.00

In 2019, I visited Japan and filmed various clips. Half a decade later, I incorporated augmented reality features into it.

The Workflow

I utilized Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Blender to produce the clip.

Initially, I incorporated the footage into Premiere.

Then, I fabricated an After Effects composition, carrying out a scene-tracking intervention with the 3D Camera Tracker. I incorporated 3D planes which I later substituted with AI created visuals. I adorned these AI-made pictures with subtle animations. I transferred the 3D camera data over to Blender.

Within Blender's environment, I fabricated a simplistic animation. The monkey acts as Blender's base model. I scanned my 3D-plant with my phone and incorporated it as a USDZ file within Blender. I exported a PNG-sequence from Blender and reinserted it into After Effects.

To wrap up, I supplemented the project with audio and extra video effects in Premiere Pro.

What have I learned?

I managed to mix up the various FPS, which led to some issues. Once again, it highlighted the importance of monitoring the frames carefully.

Additionally, an obsolete plugin hindered the export process from Premiere Pro.

However, incorporating AI-generated imagery is enjoyable, so is integrating minor animations. It sparked a hearty laughter from me.
